How did we get to October already? I’ve had a post sitting for September for the entire month. I keep coming back to it and losing steam. I’ve got to figure out a shorter form way to write, the way I used to use Instagram. Fast and concise. Capturing moments and thoughts. Maybe this will be the start.

I was perusing Instagram today at some point and my feed is flooded currently with Autumn and You’ve Got Mail memes of course. Instagram knows my interests too well. This one meme had this series of clips of actors from famous 90s films in their great 90s fall outfits. One was Kathleen Kelly from You’ve Got Mail of course (which is how the meme ended up in my feed. I really have a love/hate relationship with social media.) That one made me smile. But then I came across this Billy Crystal one from When Harry Met Sally…

and I burst out laughing. I don’t care about Billy Crystal much (aside from his amazing voiceover for Monster’s Inc which is a beloved movie). And I really don’t care for When Harry Met Sally (another post for another time). But Crystal’s vibe for this October 1 meme made me laugh because…

I matched him perfectly! I inadvertently dressed like Billy Crystal in When Harry Met Sally today. I would prefer to have dressed like Kathleen Kelly of course. Or several other Autumn scenes in lovely films, but alas, Billy Crystal it was. Happy October 1 in my 90s Autumn fashion apparently. 💚
